The COT One-Step Cotinine Test Device

Remove the nicotine test cassette from the foil pouch, and place it on a flat, dry surface. Hold the dropper vertically and add 3 drops into the sample well (S).
A negative test is indicated by showing a line in the control (C) and test (T) region of cassette. Any line, no matter how faint, appearing in the test region is to be considered negative. A presumptive positive is indicated by showing a line in the control (C) region but not the test (T) region of cassette. An invalid test is indicated by the absence of the control line (C) regardless of the test (T) line. If this happens another test is required. Results should be read within five minutes of activating the test.
The COT One-Step Cotinine Test Device is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the detection of cotinine, a metabolite of nicotine, in human urine. This kit includes the COT test reader and a disposable sample dropper (pipette). It detects cotinine in as few as three minutes and provides onsite results within five minutes.
